Workflow Models
A Workflow model represents the definition of the process you are trying to analyse. For example, the status workflow of bugs, epics, service requests or incidents, or the assignment group changes for issues. Once a workflow model is defined, the Workflow Optimizer can be accessed which will extract all the events related to the Workflow model, and enable the visualization and optimization experience
The easiest way to create a Workflow model is to use the ‘Model Wizard’. This will walk you through each step.
To create a Workflow model manually, here are the steps;
Select the Workflow models option in the app menu and click ‘Create’.
Enter the name and a description of the Workflow model e.g. ‘Incidents – Status’ and ‘Analyse the compliance of incident workflows’
Select which Projects you want to extract the event data from
Select the issue types you want to extract event data for
Select an activity to analyse (defined in Activities)
Enter the from and to date for the issues to be extracted into the Workflow Optimizer
Select one or more issue attributes that you want to include in the workflow model. These attributes will allow you to slice and filter the event log data within the model. For example, you and decide to look at only issues of a given priority or category. The attributes are also used by the Artificial Intelligence insights to inform you of what types of issues are causing performance or compliance, costing excessive amounts, or are candidates for automation
Select the business calendar to be used to calculate transition durations. The default is 'None'
If the administrator has enabled external saving of the generated event log, you will have the option to save the event log that the Workflow Optimizer generates. This will save time when re-loading the Workflow model (and associated event log). The generation of the Workflow model event log can be scheduled and/or refreshed on demand.
Select if you would like to anonymize any field in the event log that relates to a user/person record in Jira.
